Festivities

Third Street South, located in Old Naples, is a must-see during the holidays. The Celebration of Lights takes place annually the week before Thanksgiving, and attendees can enjoy twinkling lights, musical performances and falling snow. After the initial week, snow will fall every Thursday evening until New Year’s. The festivities, also known as Christmas on Third, kick off with an official tree lighting by the Mayor.

For those interested in learning some history and celebrating the holidays at the same time, explore the historic Palm Cottage which will be decorated in festive lights and relevant historical ornaments. The Christmas at Historic Palm Cottage allows visitors to learn about historic holiday traditions in the oldest house in Naples. For example, a day is dedicated to learning the history of holiday trees and ornaments.
 

Events

A broad variety of holiday events to choose from including the Boat Parade at Naples Bay. Boaters decorate their vessels with creative lighting according to a theme that changes annually. View the parade along Naples Bay from spots such as Pincher’s Crab Schack, Naples Landing or the Boat House Restaurant.

Visitors can also stroll through the Naples Botanical Gardens for its Night Lights in the Garden event. The garden will be decorated with thousands of lights to create an enchanting experience. This event is perfect for the whole family with delicious treats, local music and holiday performances.
